(Another) $100 price cuts (while Sony's games division loses 100's of millions each quarter) do tend to increase console sales, yes.

Anyways imo, it's more amazing that it's 1 week from 2010 and we are still talking about a 5 million gap..PS3 will never catch up. 2010, will start out with slow sales so PS3 wont gain much if at all...then MS has games like Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, Crackdown 2  "one triple A exclusive a month" as Greenberg says. Then the back half of the year will be exceedingly strong for 360 with possible price cuts and slim design, plus Natal, Fable 3 and Halo Reach (that we know of).

Did the last Mass Effect, Splinter Cell, and Crackdown light the charts on fire or significantly boost 360 sales? Does the PS3 not have GoW3 for America, GT5 in Japan, and a slew of other exclusive coming in just the first 3 or 4 months of the year?

I mean really....do you think that new IP, under everyone's radar Alan Wake is going to boost 360 sales and at the same time you're going to ignore GoW3, which if you've been paying attention, is #1 on the preorder charts?

I know people like to do list wars, and make it seem that "since my console has exclusive A,B, and C, that means that your console's exclusives all of a sudden don't matter"....but that's just ridiculous

Heh, well said man.
