And it's still mostly true (just a few things off).
The skyrocketing costs is notable. Look at how the developers don't mind spending around $50 million on an HD game, but give loads of excuses not to spend just $10-$15 million for a similar Wii game.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
