Believe it or not. The wii acts like a NES. Just look at all the things it has in common with it
The Wii doesn't have a disc tray you put it in there. NES you open the door and but the cartilage in
Wii has the Balance board. NES has the power pad
Wii has a NES style controller
Wii has the wii zapper. NES has the NES zapper
Wii has casual games! NES has Duck Hunt and Donkey Kong Math and more
Wii as Virtual Console. Nes also has port of Arcade games which is older than the NES
Wii has tons of crazy controllers. NES is the same 
The wii is battleing 2 rivals who are much more powerful and have more complicated games
NES had to fight computers that were much more powerful and complax(7800 and Master System were made
in response of the sucess of the NES also computers were told that they would be the main gaming platform before the NES)
Wii targets a new audiance. NES targets a new audiance(again computers)
Wow the Wii even is followed with a handheld. The NES was followed with one too.(Game and Watch)
What does ths tell you? Is nintendo sucessful because it followed what the NES did? hey we even got some remakes and sequals
of NES games. Does anyone agree?
