Well I thought FF7 was a pretty good game(at the time). It's actually the reason I bought my PS1 as I was (and still am 
) a really big fan of the SNES FF games.
It's actually FF8 that made me stop playing FF games, because it was such a terrible, terrible game. I tried to get back into FF by getting FFX (I had a gift certificate, so I paid nothing for it) and I was once again disappointed by it.
I just bought FF13, but not really because I wanted the game. I wanted the nice looking Lightning Edition PS3 and well the game came with it. :-/
