Like others i think you have to look at this game in a certain context
got the Wii (2007) Wii sports was like a breath of the fresh air, and it showed me what Wii is all about. It's good when i play by myself very calm and relaxing experience. But its Multiplayer that makes it amazing (game is simple enough so everyone can enjoy it)so thats why i would give it 9.5 back then.
Now after the release of Wii Sports Resort Game deserves around 8.5 , it still great but WSR offers better experience.
