As MrStickball has already stated (and rather well may I add, bravo) Embryonic stem cell research is the only kind people protest against, whereas in this procedure they grew stem cells from his good cornea on amniotic tissue. No-one should have a problem with this kind of medical research. Let's stay on topic as opposed to argue about morality in a completely different situation.
Thanks for contributing though.
Anyway, even though it hasn't worked in any significant way in some other cases, I think this advance is hopefully going to help a lot of people.
