Hey if FFXIII can sell 1.5m from 4m PS3's, im sure GT5 can sell 10m from 24.9m PS3's (toke japan out)

Why did you took Japan out ? GT is a big game in Japan one of the biggest (Ps3) and will be the second million seller for PS3 after FFXIII.

If Mingol can't sell a million in Japan anymore, I have to seriously wonder if GT can?  The PSP/Prologue sales aren't exactly encouraging...

Hot Shots Gold was released on the ps3 in early 2007 in Japan, when the system wasn't even near a million units sold yet.  It was literally impossible for it to sell a million at the time, and given the way Japanese gamers tend to ignore 90% of games a couple of months after release, it didn't enjoy a revival in sales when the ps3 started recieving price cuts and higher sustained sales.  Despite this, it still managed to put up a respectable 520k.

GT5 won't have such problems, plus Prologue has manged to outsell HSG5, despite being a mere Prologue that only has 70 cars and 6 tracks.

As for comparing GT PSP to GT5, you can't really do that.  PSP games don't sell well at all, and GT PSP is one of the first PSP games released simultaneously on UMD and PSN.

Just look at Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, or God of War.  The PSP iterations of these franchise sold pitifully compared their console counerpats, despite being heralded as some of the best games on the system.

GT PSP is about to cross a million sold, which is just fine for a PSP game, espcially a game with a simultaneous PSN release.

I don't buy your Mingol excuse.  Mingol PSP (399k + 261k BEST) sold better than GT PSP (228k), and it was also a launch game while GT came just this year. Even Mingol PSP 2 sold worse than the original actually (280k) and it released 3 years after launch.  Famitsu has Mingol 5 at 409k btw.

Prologue really only sold 239k as well.  It got an additional 295k given away from free Spec III bundles.

In Japan, MGS4 and GTA4 undersold their PS2 versions on both PSP and PS3.  So has Mingol.  So might GT...
