Don't see how the PS3 line-up is any better - for the Japan market anyway. Also EA Grand slam tennis would be for the Wii and not for PS3. Noticed that quite a few of the PS3 games were TBC too. So i can see at least a few of them slipping until later on in the year.

No, it's the "gem" version, GST Wii already came out in Japan last summer.  Natal version likely won't ship until fall then.

And yeah, I expect some of the tba games to slip.

If we reduce the lists down to just announced games with a confirmed date and are likely to sell 100k+...

Wii

  • 01.14.10 Biohazard: The DarkSide Chronicles (Capcom) 100k+

PlayStation 3

  • 01.28.10 End of Eternity (Sega) 100k+
  • 02.04.10 Star Ocean: The Last Hope International (Square Enix) 200k+
  • 02.18.10 Biohazard 5: Alternative Edition (Capcom) 100k+
  • 02.18.10 Dante's Inferno: Shinkyoku Jigoku-Hen (EA) 100+
  • 03.18.10 Ryu ga Gotoku 4: Densetsu o Tsugumono (Sega) 400k+
  • 03.25.10 Quantum Theory (Koei Tecmo) 100+

Xbox 360

  • lol

i think these two should also hit 100+ first week.. hopefully PS3 audience will be big n varied enough to like these titles.

I doubt either comes close, even lifetime.  Bayonetta and MW2 each just passed 100k 1st week, and they're both dramatically more appealing for the Japanese market.

Also, no EA game has ever come in over 100k 1st week iirc, on any platform.

You may be very right.. But i thought Dante's Inferno is a copy of God Of War n DMC both of which do reasonably well in Japan. and with the lower price of PS3 n definitely 30% increase in PS3 base in Japan from DMC launch n with good marketing i think it can do well.

for Quantum Theory it can be a sleeper hit like Demon Soul, so 100k first week is a little too much for it, but with 40 - 50k opening n some good legs (granted the game is good) it may do 100k in a month time..

But i will definitely be keeping an eye on these two games as a new IP..
