GT5 will be fine, stop worrying
The racing genre is more popular than ever, Forza, Mario Kart and GT5:P are fine examples of that
As for the predictions of 500k first week (yes, I know that you predicted 500k-1m CaptainDJ) That is much too low. There are nearly 30k Americas preorders, with no known release date. And GT5 will do well in all 3 regions. I would say 1 million first week (ie the sum of the first weeks in each region) is the absolute minimum we could see.
