I have a 50'' Plasma display, and my Wii looks fantastic on it. Because its slightly "less sharp" than a LCD (less noticeable distinct pixels), you get a great blending effect - and the lower resolution is much less noticeable.
Its also a cheap Plasma - mine cost under $2000AU (Soniq - a Chinese brand), and I'm overall very impressed with it.
My friend has an expensive LCD set, and the Wii looks significantly worse on his set IMO.
