That's not how you get popular. Sales never have and never will be representative of a quality product.

sales are a result of popularity, u gain popularity by releasing quality material, which is based on personal taste so the only way to decide is by which is most popular

What is popular is never what it good. You and I both know Internet Explorer is the most used browser, but it's also one of the worst, if not the worst, browser.

 

Having high sales only means one thing: You're product is popular. Quality is not always the reason. Surely, Transformers 2 wasn't the best movie released last year, but it made the most money. 

Also, as the owner of several iPhones. It's a cool phone with a bunch of nifty features, but I know for sure that it's not the best phone on the market. I have a very strange love/hate relationship with my iPhone. (I'm on my 4th)
