Kawazu mentioned dropping the FF branding too, and that they considered it for Crystal Bearers. Honestly, I think it might be okay of Crystal Chronicles was built up into it's own series, like the Seiken Densetsu / Mana games (which also started as a FF spinoff).
Nice to hear that a REAL FFCC2 is still in the cards too. They should call it that too "Crystal Chronicles II".
