It's quite simple really, Final Fantasy (at least to me) has never been just a turn-based, story driven experience and that's all. Final Fantasy played different from other games during it's times of infancy, in the same genre, and being the top franchise (PS1 gen). It also is one of the indunstry's largest franchises, that's hard to do. Looking at it now, Mass Effect isn't comparable to Final Fantasy in many respects, in fact they're completely different. You think Mass Effect has a quality that Final fantasy is missing. I disagree... Final Fantasy, outside from being one of the most desired games/franchises in the bizz, really evolves with each new installment. That's quite a feat for a franchsie that's 20+ years old. All I'm saying is, be happy for Mass Effect, I know I am, it's a great franchise. But don't knock Final Fantasy just because you don't favor it and then attack anyone who opposes. I said my opinion differs from yours, and clearly now you should see why. I see nothing wrong with opposes to my opinion as well, but just know that i can't prove you wrong on your assessment, as you can't prove me wrong on mine. There's no right or wrong outlook here, just how you approach a given situation. I blame myself for this one though, I sarcastically brought up Final Fantasy and people took it too serious, and in essence, derailed my own thread. Ah well..... |
Yes, we'll message each other about it. I know I am responding to the earlier post but this has the richest text.
