On the other hand, games like Madworld, The Conduit and others, were pushed hard by them. According to most gamers they received a better score than deserved. All with the intention so they could sell better and more games like those were made for the Wii (and less shovelware).

Actually they implied that in some podcast.

If IGN admitted to doing that, why wouldn't reviewers who have never bothered to hide their hate of the Wii do the same with the purpose of hurting 3rd party efforts/motivation on the Wii? This just reinforces my theory...
