2) My one concern is that getting together just to talk videogames could easily lead to a mess of a podcast. If there were specific questions and topics and an organized flow I think it would go better, and I'd personally be more willing to participate.

I'm like this to. I don't have the time of day to listen to podcasts, but my ego wouldn't let me pass up an opportunity to pontificate before an audience a few thousand strong.
