New Super Mario Bros Wii only 85K behind Moder Warfare 2 (PS3)

Why are we making these kinds of strange comparisons? What about WiiFit+ or Wii Sports Resort? Are they not in the picture? Why are we using MW2 as a barometer for the weaker selling of the two? It is not like MW2 is two different games between either system.

Both MW2 and NSMB:Wii are doing great. We don't need to compare them in some odd attempt to make a system of choice look better - both are doing great.

This has nothing to do with making a system look better than the other. This is about a bet that Reggie made with the guy that host the Game Trailers televisison show.  Members of VGChartz decided to make a thread about this bet. Some members believed that New Super Mario Bros. would sale better than Modern Warfare others did not especially after the first day sales of Mordern Warfare 2. Now members have been keeping track of the sales of both games to see who will win the bet. This is no different than the "Will the PS3 reach 5 million before the Wii reaches 10 million" bet. Neither bet is designed to make one console look bad. This is a sales site and these kinds of bets promote interest in the site for some.

Then why make a post about NSMB: Wii being away from the worst selling version of Modern Warfare?
