They bet big on Sony because all the analysts thought the PS3 would sell better than the PS2 and the Wii would sell worse than the GC. Yes, developing on Wii would make a lot more sense for a lot of the big Japanese devs, but they really bet on the wrong system, and for a long time denied that the Wii is a viable platform for big blockbuster games mostly out of their own stubbornness. besides, you really picked a bad example of a company as FFXIII is the only game square enix has made for the PS3 so far. Versus will make its way out eventually, but DQX (which is arguably bigger) is going to the Wii, and the Wii has a lot of other games like Dragon Quest Swords and FF:CC. |

Maybe if you say it enough mate, it might actually become true.
Go on tell me, what "blockbuster" titles would sell better on the Wii in comparison to the PS3?
Edit - Now you are comparing the PS2 MH titles to MH3 on Wii? Clutching onto straws it seems, the franchise gained huge traction after the MH titles on PS2 released might have to do with it. Also no doubt in my mind DQ X will go on a handheld.
