Wii House of the Dead lives...cheaply!

by Dale North on 11.24.2007

Hamza recently told us that the poopy-looking House of the Dead 2 & 3 combo is coming to the Nintendo Wii, and now we see that this remake will be sold at a fair asking price.

Sega knows that you can only ask so much for an old game, and if it happens to be a poopy-looking Wii port, then full price is out of the question. According to EB Games, this title, called House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, will sell for a non-poopy $30.

A mere $30 isn't bad for two classic 2-player arcade games, and perhaps it will make you feel a bit better abour your Wii Zapper purchases. Hell, I've dropped more than $10 in quarters into a House of the Dead 3 arcade cabinet on several occasions, so this could actually be looked at as a money-saving opportunity for those who do the same.

So RE4 sells for $30 on the Wii, and is the bestselling port on the system.* Sega evidently doesn't see that as a coincidence.

Let's also hope Capcom either sells Okami for just that much, or adds a hell of a lot of extra content.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
