^Yea, from they way you've clarify, the it doesn't seem as if Bathesda bought the IP but rather the right to make specific games base on an IP owned by Interplay, almost as if the IP is on loan. Where as most news are reporting Bathesda is now the holder of the IP essentially for keep.
But 3, 4, 5, and 6 is far too much wiggle room if its not specified and there is no mention of spinoff or alternative platform like the Iphone which does good business. The IP must be loaned out exclusively too, or else Interplay could simply make Fallout and work around the restriction.
