| mrstickball said: Claude - I am using Famitsu numbers that were updated 2 months ago for Vesperia. That is why I said there'd be a gap to similar to what they are now. The gap will get smaller than 150,000 for awhile, but I don't believe that Graces, given its debut, will outsell Vesperia week in and week out for a very long time. Also, according to Famitsu, there is a 169,000+ unit gap from the October numbers versus the Graces estimates. That is a bit bigger than your 'barely a 150k gap now' quote. Finally, if you really feel my numbers have no merit, then lets make an agreement: You believe ToG will be within 150,000 of Vesperia for LTD #s by when? End of the year? 6 months into 2010? I will bet on the other side. Loser has to respond to a custom made post discussing this very argument. |
I'll take that bet. Six months. Who's numbers are we going by? VGC, Famitsu, media create...?
Like I said when I entered the thread, I expected it to sell more like last gen's Tales games (PS2) than this gen's games (DS). I was wrong. My predictions were based on that belief. Since Vesperia, Innocence, and Hearts weren't picking up the slack, I thought Graces would and bring the series back to its former sales days. That didn't happen.
I have no idea what Namco is going to do. This is a franchise that use to sell 700k last gen and now has people singing praises when Vesperia sells roughly half of that. I hope they come up with an actualy direction. They haven't had one since last gen.
