You say the Wii hasn't got any major RPGs unlike the DS had RPGs. I think that is wrong. The Wii has had Monster Hunter 3 which sold very well. I don't see how a system can have the #1 console RPG so far (obviously this changes in a week or two), yet still not have Tales of Graces sell well. You say that Tales are locked to 200-300k, but Vesperia proved that to be very wrong.

As for you saying that DQX will sell 3m on the Wii - I won't argue that it will sell near that. My issue is the fact that on the DS, it would have sold about an extra million copies, so I believe it is a bad business move. I'm not talking about fanboy 'I wish game X was on my console of choice' but the actual business decision of it.

@Khuurta - it is a rhetorical question for those arguing that Tales of Graces either did good, or want to argue why it sold poorly. It seems that some want to have it both ways - MH3 can do good because the Wii sells RPGs, but Tales of Graces does bad because it doesn't have the user base that DQX will bring in - so I am asking them to think about the moving goal posts we're seeming to have here

Tales games ARE locked at 200k-300k. ToV is actually at 312k - VGC is overtracking it by a bit.

Famitsu - 312k  10/19/09

VGC - 312k 10/18/09

Seems pretty good to me.  We'll have to wait for the top 500 to see if it was overtracked in subsequent weeks.
