A while back, Nintendo said they were inspired by Monster Hunter 3 because it pushed Wii graphics to an impressive plateau, and Zelda HAS to surpass it. So the pressure was put on them to push the game's look even further.
Golden Sun 3 (DS) is in the same situation where Ninty has not decided upon a look for it yet, What was shown in the GS3 trailer at the last E3 was not definitive.
