Arg...I hope this isn't just another bad omen that they're trying to use Ocarina of Time as a model and trying to 'surpass' it. What made Ocarina good is they created a totally unique experience from the ground up. That's what they're claiming they're doing for this game...yet they keep coming back and saying they're looking back at Ocarina and Twilight as a model, as if they're trying to do what they couldn't do on Twilight.
The fact is, Twilight wasn't as good as past Zeldas because they focused too much on trying to make a 'vast and realistic world'. We want to explore a vast world, but not spend 30 hours (half the game) running from one end of the world to the next doing pointless fetch quests or crossing endless deserts and mountains. There's got to be a limit somewhere. As well as a limit on all the NPC dialogue and interaction so we can actually play the game.
In short, I hope Zelda Wii isn't like Twilight at all. More actual gameplay and intuitive exploration and less 'vast realism' and endless 'realistic' character dialogue.
