Marketing could add another 20 million of costs. UC2 had a Big marketing push.

30 dollar  profit per sold seems high. If it were that high, then a lot gamecompany's wouldn't have gone bankrupt.

Uncharted 2 is also bundled a lot which means it's sold under it's price. I'm not sure by how much but profits from bundles will be low.

Gamecompany?  I am confused? by gamecompany you mean like SE, Activsion or EA? If it is then, Sony doesn't get the whole $30 they only get a small fraction of it.

Since Uncharted 2 is a First party game $30 is seems about right, no royalties whatsoever and also I think Thesource mention $38? not so sure about that.

As for the advertising budget I can't comment on how much budget Sony use for uncharted. Let's just use your 20 million theory. That leaves about 5 million profit and remember uncharted 2 is still selling.

Yeah, I meant gamestudio's.

Even if the advertising buget is 20 million. Then the current profits could still be undercut by the bundling loss. ( Although i don't know if Sony itself takes that for their account. It could be. )

My point was that it wasn't going to make profits (off course it will) but that it would make little profit for a first-party game. Sony does need gamessales to comepensate for the PS3 loses. And first-party should be a big part of that.
