I don't think the sales are disappointing considering other games on the PS3.
It has sold just short of 2m WW in 8 weeks which is brilliant IMHO.
Yes of course it would have been super great if it had sold 3m or even 4m within the same time period, but it's just not that sort of game like a MW or other generic shooter that clocks up huge sales especially in the US.
The first Uncharted probably took around a year to break the 2m barrier and the second installment is doing it in less than 2 months.
Of course a game of this caliber should expect much better sales, but unfortunately it's just not going to happen...even if the PS3 had a 50m user base by the time U2 came out, it still wouldn't sell 7-8m copies lifetime.
Although, all things said, I reckon it should be pushing closer to 2.5m by the new year and should steadily bring in sales over the next year or so until the 3rd installment appears...it should still be able to get between 3-4m lifetime.
