It's surprising how small the sales are for Sony's first-party games are compared to third-party. I mean the best selling first-party game is at 6 and it probably wouldn't even have gotten there if it wasn't for bundling and the fact it pretty much had zero competition when it came out.

Lol....again with this warped sense of thinking. Tell me, what 1st party exclusives, besides Halo, have done gangbusters on the 360? By that, I mean sold at least 5mill.

Microsoft is able to take a game like Fable 2 in a genre that is niche compared ot the FPS one and manage to make it sell almost as much as Sony's best selling PS3 first-party game and if you exclude bundles it probably comes surprisingly close to passing it.

Right. Now explain Uncharted. It's not exactly in a big selling genre either. Look at how it's doing, WITHOUT bundles.

The game is getting Game of the Year awards and a lot of attention.  If it was a Microsoft tentpole title it would be a safe bet to say it would be selling a lot more right now.  Microsoft just seems to be better at advertising their big AAA games.

Microsoft is better at advertising, nobody's arguing that. It still doesn't change the fact that the majority of both of their franchises sell comparably, which is the point.

but the games in discussion dont sell because of advertising. Fable, Halo, Gears......Fable i didnt see anything, and Gears and Halo feed a userbase who is foaming at the mouth for those types of titles. Its teh userbase not the marketing, imo.
