NJ5, you sound like me, right down to playing the MegaDrive around friends houses, I got the Wii back at Launch (one of the 7 min Amazon.co.uk bunch) and I've been enjoying it ever since,
I'm not sure If I would rate the Wiimote as better then the Mouse but it really is very different and fresh, at first I could hardly control it in MP3 (I set it to advanced straight away) but after a few mins I found that I quickly adapted and my aiming/movement improved fast.
Did you find it was harder to adapt to the nunchuck for movement then the Wiimote for aiming?
