No, because last year it didn't have anything for more than 2 quarters, Animal crossing and Wii music bombed in 2008, that's why the momentum was lost in 2009, there were no games, this time NSMB Wii is not a bomb and there are more games coming in 2010, totally different situation.

It is a totally different situation, Nintendo is already in decline right now. It's hard to regain momentum once it's been lost, and that's what Nintendo need to do (otherwise they should be preparing for their next console). NSMB et al might carry momentum for a quarter or so, but it won't last much longer and even then it can't be taken for granted.

ROFL in decline, lol, to be in decline, they'd have to be still falling, when the truth is, they stopped falling, in fact they are back up, not quite to 2008 levels, but well above what they were earlier in the year, in fact last week they were up yoy, so I think you need to stop and think before you post again.  Now as for a New console, wow, again stop and tick before you post, they are still over the PS2 and passing the NES, no need to have a new console.

As for NSMB Wii, it doesn't need to reverse the trend the trend is already reveresed and stabilized, all it has to do is maintain, and yeah it can't maintai nfor the full year, but it doesn't need to, Wii's 2010 lineup is already much stronger than 2009, and we haven't even had everything announced yet, all it has to do is maintain for a quareter or two and even there, it has help.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
