The most amazing thing about the series, coming from one of its biggest fans, is that they literally re-invent themselves for every new installment. New world, new characters, new story, new enemies, new battle system, new EVERYTHING. They are extremely brilliant and creative. This is why they can branch out from a game like Final Fantasy VII, or X, or XIII, and create an entire series based on one of the installments. In the world of Final Fantasy, we also have our constants: Chocobo's, Summons, Moogles, etc., which give all of the games some form of commonality (if that's even a word). It is truly the best video game series every, and with FFXIII around the corner, I'm sure I'm not the only one this excited. @Darth - I never knew it was the second biggest franchise. What's the first? Pokemon? Mario? |
