why do people/game journelists keep calling mario a casual game?

Casual and hardcore can describe gamers not games.

I know this. But for me:

* Casual games = Everyone plays.

* Hardcore games = Only hardcore games plays.

* Mario = Everyone plays = Casual games.

So... hardcore games is played only for hardcore gamers, but casual games can be played for both casual and hardcore gamers... of course, there are exceptions.

GTA for me is casual... most people are casual gamers... but the hardcore games play the game too.
