I think I know why but I don't want to get banned =P

In the past, "casual" and "hardcores"were terms used to refer the way people played. You could been a casual doom player or a hardcore tetris one.

But since the wii disrupted the market,game journalists (whom are the game industry's puppets) use casual to mean "retards" and hardcore to mean "real players".

The fact that NSMBWii is selling like crazy is something that the industry cannot stand so they badmouth it with that term to decrease its value in the gamer's eyes.

Of course, is not working.
