You three all have an excellent taste for good games.

I never played MP1 or MP2, or any Metroid game other then the first though.

Then it's time to finally get into the series. You said you want something like Zelda that is good. What are you waiting for?

He is probably waiting for a good Metroid Prime game to be released on the Wii.

My opinion is worth more than yours and I say Corruption is a great game.

 If you enjoy being bored to death perhaps. I loved the original Metroid Prime but Corruption is just missing the charm it had. I would say he should just buy the original and play it.
