But those are genres that Nintendo just doesn't work with typically. I am not saying they couldn't have done better, but they really front loaded their first party releases for the Wii. There had to be a gap somewhere and that is what we are coming out of now. Still, for an epic TPS, FPS, or third person action game you will need to look past what Nintendo makes. They just don't develop those games. Its like waiting for Konami to make the next epic fighting game. You can't fault the company for that really. |
Nintendo didn't work with fighters but Brawl was a great success(were it as clean as VF i might just say the best in the genre). They don't work with FP games but people speak highly of metroid prime series. They find success even with things they aren't the most familiar. I believe I can fault companies for not trying new things they haven't done before when they have a nice and successful history of it. Although i suppose it's just me thinking the new stuff isn't terribly interesting. NVM.
