The Core gamer who has been waiting for the price drop has already picked it up, now the main market is the grandmas that are looking for the best value when looking for a gift for her grandchildren. The grandmas (who pushed a hoop with a stick) will not be around after the holidays season is over. If Sony is smart then they would stock the shelves for the Christmas shoppers.

Well the PS3 will be on the market for a long while, and you cant make everybody happy. The PS3 will be around next Chritmas as well so whoever did not get one this year will get it next year.

Sony is just worried about keeping the system in supply and sticking to their books/plan. This 1st, 2nd, 3rd place thing is shit we fanboys create. Sony is safe, no developer will ignore the PlayStation platform. Sony dont need to worry, nor do we.
