I'd say as most games in Japan don't even get to 1 million they are good legs

This is why I still claim FF13 should do 2 Million!

We'll see soon enough Darth. It is a series in decline, but maybe XIII can bring it back to its glory days. Would be nice if it was able to do that, but I dunno. Look at the type of sales and legs games that did cross 2m (or close to it on consoles) had to acheive. I just don't feel FF has that sort of appeal anymore in Japan.

All I know is FF13 is made by the FF7/8/10 team, clearly stated by S-E on many occasions & in their news letters recently....they were the peak FF's in Japan

FF12 wasn't made by those guys & wasn't liked by many...so its legs were low

If a game can bring the franchise back up in Japan, its this one, and why is it impossible to think chances of a revival are impossible for Final Fantasy.

Yeah! Like, the game popularity is declining in each release, and we all know that FFXIII won't be a explosion seller like MW2 or previous FFs. It will have a pretty good FW and it success or not will all depend in it's legs and word of mouth. And it will only be able to do so if it happens to be as good as Darth expects or better, this game sales and future of the series relys more in the quality of the game and word of mouth than in FW shipments, marketing campaings(this one is pretty important as well) or internet hype.

FFXIII have to prove to both japanese and western gamers that the series are great, expanding the fanbase and reinvigorating the old one.

If it don't hold legs WW than we can star to worry about.
