It plays fine without playing them, don't worry. You won't even notice anything is amiss, and it never feels like anything is going over your head.

But you really should play them at some point because they're fantastic.

I know I should it would be I still have 7 PS2 Backlogged and 2 wii games Backlogged...and the 7 PS2 games a JRPGs....
