"Hardly anybody who buys this on Wii hasn't already played it on another system."

You got any proof? Any statistical data, to show this. I hope you aren't relying on assumptions and anecdotes.

No. I'm basing this on the fact that shooter fans tend to buy shooters. Few shooter fans have missed what is generally considered one of if not the best FPS this gen.

My point is the game is selling great considering how many people have already played it. I think the sales on other systems prove that it is a pretty popular game played by many people and thus considering that many have already had their fill the sales are great.

This also explains why it is selling slower than W@W a game that nobody could have played beforehand.

Or do you think Reflex is disappointing because it is a better game and selling worse than W@W?

If you want statistics perhaps you should poll us here. I'm willing to bet that 80%+ of the Wii owners on this board with MW:R have played it at least once on PS360 or PC. And for once people on this board might actually be representative of the those buying this game.

I don't see any proof that most shooter fans have played it already. You've have to prove the number of shooter fans is close to the sales of CoD4 first. And a poll of a gaming site is a representative sample of those gamers. If it was, the Wii would have flopped.

This game has no marketing yet. The shooter fans have to know the game is out in the first place to decide if they get it.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
