Malstrom wrote an interesting blog post about Matt's meltdown and I think he's right when he says that the sales of NSMB Wii were the cause of it. It's just too much for some folks that a game so backwards as NSMB Wii can be a bigger hit than the well crafted titles like Galaxy.

Matt's crying about NSMBWii is one of the most bizarre things about this. The graphics? Really?

He keeps harping on one of the most impeccable, well-crafted, perfectly balaced platformers ever made, the heart and soul of the genre given flesh and cloth, and expects to be taken seriously as a voice of the hardcore?

That's why I said in the duplicate thread that this is probably a parody to lure in gullible persons and have them to agree with this nonsense. Basically Matt is trying to do a Rol.

EDIT: And he's quite successful at it.

Matt might actually be a better Rol than Rol.  He had me going..
