I don't think so. I don't see people looking at Wii games, and looking at prices, but only when it comes to third parties. They look at what seems appealing to them. You make an appealing game, and people will buy it, even if a less appealing game costs less.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
