If they've really just begun development on the 360 version they have only 5 months or so to complete the port. It sounds to me like they've been working on this for a while.
Perhaps the quality simply wasn't high enough to warrant it as an exclusive. I remember there were rumours about this title seeing a different publisher. Perhaps they made efforts to have Sony publish it.
