I don't think The 360 lost appeal, it's just the the demand for the PS3 went sky high beacuse of it's price cut. I remeber when I bought my PS3 back in 2007 when it was $500(60 gb) many of my friends wanted a PS3 but it was just too expensive, many of them were waiting for a reasonable price cut, and now that the PS3 is more affordable with the great features that comes with make it a great deal, speacailly it's blu-ray player, blu-ray players nowadays(where I live) are heavily advertised, if you can pick up a cheap yet still a great blu-ray player like the PS3 with a great library of games it's a no brainer that people will by it
