The game is being released at a awkward time - its too close to Christmas and PAST Channukah to give as a gift, and at a financially strained time for anyone to drop extra money on preorders. The 3rd week sales from release (roughly Jan 15th) shall give a better picture, as it will reflect gift card shoppers. People with FFCC on their priority list will likely purchase the game at that time, or when their money recovers from holiday spending.
On the LOW side, this game should sell 500k LTD if the reviews are sour. Knowing the franchise and the userbase, I'd imagine it could hit 1 mil in NA. It will come down to word of mouth feedback, as FF games are all for a specific breed of gamer that are linked together.
