Most similar story is that my dad was skeptical when I bought the Wii, but when he got the chance to play, he liked it, so when I moved out, he ended up getting one too.
Edit: Oh, and he takes it to family get-togethers, camping trips, etc, with his side of the family (5 of my aunts and uncles and all their kids and grandkids).
