12 GBP ($27) isn't steep for a branded t-shirt, it's a price I'd gladly pay if it was the right branding (i.e. my Ottsel wish). BUT shipping it to the arse end of the Earth, that's where the cost starts to become a bit too much for me to justify, for a t-shirt. I would hazard a guess that the cost of shipping would be at least another 50% on top, and even 100% for the quickest and best track'n'trace shipping option.

Naturally if our dollar drops back down to an exchange rate of 3:1 that will change the calculus significantly. $36 (which is what it would have been a year or so ago) would still be less than what we pay for branded t-shirts (commonly $50, I know what a rip aye? which is why I don't buy branded t-shirts), but then converting the GBP shipping rate would put it well over the top.
