Several reasons.
- Heavily stylized graphics. Call it "the Okami effect." Some of us love them, but many more seem to hate them
- Content. ~6 hours worth is enough to take this off the wish list of many dedicated gamers who demand a better dollar per hour entertainment ratio. Some wait until the price falls, others just move on to something else.
- Extreme violence and swearing. Lots of people, even core gamers, get turned off by the brutality and foul language in a game like this. I was borderline on it. There were times I had to stop playing it because it was disturbing the people around me.
