That makes no sense.  Do you make it a habit to just throw away games you buy when sequels get announced?  Did you actually even buy it?

My friend lent it to me.

I know how long the games are, and I have plenty of games that I havent finished yet either like ff6.

I'm asking if I should just wait it out and finish the other games.

I would still think about playing at least one of the first two before III. I & II were both somewhat similar so you can probably get away with only playing one of them, but this game seems to go in a slightly different direction.
