Could be but I don't think so - since then the Slim has happened. So saying that everyone who was interested in FFXIII would have gotten it before the Slim is (imo) not that different from those who said that everyone who was interested in a Wii bought it already before the price cut and so the price cut won't make a difference...

That's when the demo came out. So the demo sold approximately 40k additional PS3s (looking at the previous and the next week).

I agree people bought PS3s for the demo, what I am saying was that at the time the demo came out, the Slim and new pricing weren't in effect yet. So there may possibly have been a lot of people interested in FFXIII that were holding out back then due to PS3 price, but now that the PS3 price is lower and FFXIII has finaly arrived, they will go out and buy a PS3.
