Will the Wii break PS2's WW sales record???

First off its IMPOSSIBLE for the wii to hit 20 million since nintendo is only making 2 million wii's from now to years end. This means the wii will barely hit 17 million.

Secound off, I am going to give you a heart breaking rpediction, In my prediction the wii wont hit 30 million by 08's end.

i) You ever heard of stockpiling? I don't think it will make 20m - but will get to around 18.5m. But who knows really how many units they can make, and how many they have stockpiled? This is Nintendo, who tend to be conservative with figures - 20m has a real chance.

 

ii) Somehow, I doubt you would be up for a bet related to that prediction. 

If they manage to sell 5-6m in the last 2 months of '07 (and its selling out instantly, everywhere) - not selling 10m in the entire of '08 seems extremely unlikely.

Hell - if they had the units, I think they could sell 10m in the US in '08 alone. 

And that's without the NEW games which will hit (including MH3, FF:CC, Tales, Brawl, MarioKart, Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, etc...).
