| Slimebeast said: 2. Yeah, its almost impossible to power-level in DA! It's almost too little. Because the battles are very hard even on normal difficulty I almost wish there was som re-spawning low level mobs that I could grind on and level up. Now maybe you meant something different though. I havent clicked on that Wikipedia article but a guess would be that it's about levceling optimization more than power-leveling? 3. I didnt get your joke lol. |
EDIT: Yeah, that's what I meant, excessive character optimization.
2. One aspect of munchkinism is minmaxing - making very lopsided characters to take maximum advantage of everything (ie. putting all stat points into MAG as a Mage, for instance), and the other would be making in-game choices that run contrary to your characters personality/alignment/whatever just because the reward is better.
Dragon Age does a better job at this than, let's say, NWN, just because there's no "official" aligment to contradict. But like you said, the battles are a bit tougher than what you'd usually see, and that pushes players heavily towards minmaxing since non-optimized characters tend to get crushed, especially with new players.
3. Turkish Prison / Crushing Prison? :p
@Darc: Yeah, Crushing Prison is ridiculous. I tested it on the Mage's Tower, and if you land it on something that isn't a boss or a Revenant, it dies. Period.
