On to Americas and Black Friday 2008 vs 2009. This was 360's best chance of reversing the PS3's momentum for Holiday 2009, but fantastic and varied PS3 bundles led the way.
Missed it by that much... PS3 came ever so close to matching the 2008 360 sales. The difference of 1,453 means 2009 PS3 sales were within 0.3% of 360 last year. However, if there are adjustments PS3 2009 may end up on top after all.
360 2008 and PS3 2009 are neck-and-neck in both the weekly sales and cumulative sales, but because the PS3 was so weak last year the 2008 gap increase trumps the 2009 gap decrease. For the rest of the year there's a good chance of seeing PS3 2009 > 360 2008 sometimes, but we'll never see PS3 2008 > 360 2009 in Americas.
